《夏日的柠檬草》改编自畅销作家玛琪朵的同名小说，由曾以《村里来了个暴走女外科》获得金钟奖最佳导演奖的赖孟杰执导，及曾获得金钟奖最具潜力新人奖的李沐、曹佑宁、娄峻硕主演，3人在戏中展开一段刻苦铭心的青春三角恋情。
《夏日的柠檬草》历经一个半月的拍摄期，在南台湾的高雄、屏东等地取景，并重金打造许多精致的场景，让电影整体质感加分。南台湾的大太阳更是让这部电影有着满满的青春恋爱感觉，加上3位主角精湛的演技、还有金奖实力派演员林美秀、樊光耀、李璇、班铁翔、曾珮瑜、马力欧，以及新生代演员黄信赫、陈璇、郑芯恩、陈映如（小苹果）、叶子绮、杀时间乐队，绝对让观众有种满满的幸福恋爱感觉。
